Our hydrating tallow balm is made with meticulous love and care from start to finish. We spent many hours researching and testing rendering methods before reaching a product we are proud of. We begin with the ultra fresh suet of Whatcom County beef cattle that have been well cared for and are grass fed and finished. Rather than "refining", we gently dry render the suet into tallow at a low temperature in order to best preserve its nourishing qualities. Then we blend it with a little organic unrefined jojoba oil for softness, and quality essential oils for additional skin benefits and scent. Each jar is hand-poured. The end result is a luxuriously hydrating, nourishing, and quickly-absorbed moisturizer that your skin—especially your face—is sure to love. A little goes a long way.
Please note that as this is an animal byproduct and is intentionally unrefined, you may notice an earthy or "beefy" scent. It does not linger upon application. If you are concerned about this, we recommend choosing one of our scented options.
